The Data Steward will be responsible for effective data quality analysis, operation & validation. He / She will report into the Director of Customer Data Management and be part of a highly visible, strategic data governance team focused on aligning strategic business and quality objectives with tactical demands. They will develop partnerships with numerous business stakeholders and drive/evolve education related to data governance rules and best practices. The role of Data Steward is to support data quality enhancement by implementing data quality control measures and advise on best practices to reduce/resolve data anomalies. A significant part of this role will be carrying out research, defining and documenting best practice, and executing related data quality tasks to support the Clinical Effectiveness team in maintaining and managing Marketing, Sales, and Client data accuracy and integrity by proactively analyzing data to support organizational goals. The successful candidate will have strong background in developing business rules in support of a broader Master Data Management strategy. The candidate will also have an ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop rules and process to control the integrity (accuracy, thoroughness, process compliance) of all data within the Salesforce.com CRM database
• Work with Master Data Management tools to ensure effective use of the CRM data by the Marketing & Sales Team
• Directly support and assist in managing the data governance council in identifying, prioritizing and implementing change while providing status updates measuring impact of the program
• Identify and develop insight to reduce data quality issues and process gaps
• Support Sales & Marketing team by providing ongoing & adhoc data concierge services and conducting effective research via web / subscribed research sites and present timely information as required
• Analyze daily health of the data reporting operations
• Self-organize work and priorities to execute more effectively
• Directly responsible to the stakeholders for timely delivery & completion of assigned projects
• Document data dictionaries and business requirements for key workflows and process points
• Evaluate data and resolve data quality issues by analyzing gaps in process and source files. Help identify and develop insight to reduce data quality issues
• Recommend Process improvements & suggest alternatives for continuous enhancement of existing workflow
• Keep one self constantly updated with various workflows & coordinate effectively with various Analysts to get the job done
• Document business requirements for key workflows and process points
• Accountable for training and organization on data quality best practices
• Manage business data dictionary for master data and reporting metadata and metrics glossary
• Investigate new data sources, and set policies for future data collection

Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Library Sciences preferred; plus 5+ years of Data Governance experience or equivalent data related programs

Experience:
• Exposure to Talend or other popular master data management tools and best practices
• A good general understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, along with excellent research skills
• Must possess strong communication (verbal and written), research and interpersonal skills as well as excellent time-management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to be highly productive and efficient in a team driven environment
• Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, an investigative mentality, organizational and logic skills
• Experience with managing, monitoring and scoring data quality in a transactional environment
• Proven capability to gather, manage and synthesize large amounts of information efficiently, effectively and creatively with maniacal attention to detail
• Background in report creation and spreadsheet analysis
• Proficiency in SQL, excel, access or other database environments with the ability and desire to advance technically is a plus, not a must.


Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and experience using multiple mediums to resolve daily tasks
