We are currently seeking motivated, qualified talent to be responsible for high level of data quality across the Consumer Banking Division (CBD) through the creation and management of sound Metadata management processes. In addition, they will drive the efficiencies for data management and evaluation of data flows and data quality -according to Enterprise Data Governance principles and standards. This individual is responsible for governance and policies, standardizing data naming, establishing consistent data definitions, and monitoring/auditing the overall line of business data quality. Work closely with other line of business & enterprise work-streams so data management requirements are appropriately implemented within individual work-streams in a consistent manner. Financial Services Experience Highly Preferred.
In this role you will:
  • Work with the business owners to document, implement and maintain the metadata and business rules for the bank’s data within CBD.
  • Manage the data within CBD and ensure adherence to consistent definitions, business naming standards,
  • development of standard calculations, security requirements, etc. in alignment with enterprise standards
  • Develop and enforce methods and validation mechanisms for ensuring data quality and accuracy through the
  • warehouse.
  • Monitor the quality of data within the bank’s systems working with the line of business to prioritize and remediate data issues..
  • Entrusted with improving, and maintaining a high level of, data quality.
  • Develop metrics and reporting requirements for ongoing monitoring of the bank’s data.
  • Document, prioritize and update data quality related issues; work closely with business and technology representatives to have them resolved.
  • Assist the technology and LOB teams in the identification of data not found within the bank’s primary systems.
  • Participate in line of business projects affecting data and ensure enterprise standards and practices are applied
  • Provide status to the data management lead as well as manage and escalate issues.
  • Handle data protection compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • 5 years of experience in a data management role in the financial services industry.
  • 2 or more years of experience in data management disciplines and applications support.
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Strong knowledge of business data within a banking organization.
  • Prior experience in the financial industry, specifically as it relates to retail and consumer lending systems.
Field of Experience
  • Knowledge of key database concepts, data models, relationships between different types of data, etc.
  • Solid understanding of theories, principles, processes, practices, and tools, including data quality, data modeling.
  • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
Administrative/Technical Skills
  • Action oriented change agent mentality with a strong drive for results.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with people across multiple work-streams; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive issues to resolution
  • Must be able to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve problem quickly.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail 
  • Strong working knowledge associated with usage of Oracle SQL, Toad, Informatica and other data analytic tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
