The Role in Brief:
The Associate Client Data Steward works with experienced Client Data Stewards to manage an introductory number of client data relationships and a basic portfolio of higher education clients.  Associate Client Data Stewards work under direction of others to help transform and integrate client data into high-quality client information assets and ensure client satisfaction and engagement throughout the client data implementation lifecycle.  This is an entry level position responsible for learning the practices and procedures around gathering data/information requirements from our clients and working with internal account teams and client data specialists to help define the standards and rules to ensure their data is extracted, transferred and loaded into our systems for downstream marketing campaign execution, monitoring, analysis, reporting and decision-making.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Acquire knowledge of the business, our clients and use of data to deploy effective marketing and communications that meet or exceed client goals
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, gather and interpret data/information requirements and work with internal account teams and client data specialists to define standards and rules
- Document all client file data specifications and assist to maintain information regarding client data schedules and systems
- Inform internal account teams on client expectations regarding data needs and turn-around times
- Execute required data tasks using SQL, JavaScript or MongoDB to support internal production processes, standardize client data and create client data files
- Ensure client data is accurately transformed and compliant with defined standards and rules
- Assist in resolving data discrepancies
- Participate in client calls, in-person meetings, etc., to build effective relationships
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications: 
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience or high school diploma with 4 years of relevant work experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Access and Excel
- Passion to learn new things about the business, systems and data and apply learnings resourcefully
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with accelerating priorities

Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience working in client management, project management, and/or data management
- Basic skills in the following languages:  SQL, JavaScript or MongoDB
- Accurate with attention to detail and ability to review files of various types:  Access, Excel, fixed format, etc.
- Experience communicating with clients, client support and technical communities
- Client-focused, critical problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Goal-oriented team player
- Proven work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
